David Feherty retired from professional golf in 1997 after a successful professional career with 10 victories worldwide, including the ICL International, Italian Open, Scottish Open, South Africa PGA, BMW Open, Cannes Open, and Madrid Open. He captained the winning Irish team in the 1990 Alfred Dunhill Cup and played on the European Ryder Cup team in 1991.

Thanks to his sharp wit and colorful personality, Feherty is now one of golf's favorite announcers. He spent nearly 20 years as a golf commentator for CBS Sports and joined NBC in 2015 for analysis on tournament coverage.

The Golf Channel is currently airing its fifth season of Feherty — its most popular program — that shares revealing interviews with well-known personalities from sports and entertainment, including President Trump, former President Clinton, and Samuel L. Jackson among others. The program is also broadcast on Sirius and XM satellite radio.

Feherty has authored six books, several making The New York Times best-seller list.

For Feherty, his most fulfilling activities are through his Troops First Foundation, where he stages events for wounded Special Forces, Green Berets and other U.S. heroes involving golf, hunting, bicycling and skiing.

Flight Information

If Gradient Event Headquarters provided your airline arrangements, your flight reservation was sent to you via email. Any changes to your reservation (time, date or cancellations) must be made prior to the original departure dates in order to retain the value of your ticket. Voluntary changes will incur additional fees; these additional charges will be your responsibility.

Luggage Allowance

Most airlines are now charging fees for EACH piece of checked luggage. These charges will be your responsibility. Charges vary depending on airline. For carry-on luggage, most airlines allow one piece, not to exceed 40 pounds, plus either a purse, briefcase, laptop or camera case. All carry-on luggage must either fit under your seat or in the overhead compartment. Any piece of luggage that exceeds size and weight limitations will be subject to additional charges, which will be your responsibility. If you have any questions, please contact the Gradient Events and Travel Team or the specific carrier(s) on which you are traveling.

NOTE: Your bags are subject to inspection at any time; we recommend you keep them unlocked.

Important Safety and Security Information

You are allowed to bring the following in your carry-on: three ounce or less sized containers of liquid, placed in a one quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; one bag per passenger. Please pack all other liquids in your checked luggage. For the most up-to-date information on prohibited items, safety and security, please visit:

Travel Documents

U.S. citizens will be asked for a government-issued photo ID such as a valid driver's license or passport. Your photo ID must match the name on your flight documents. You will be denied boarding if you do not have identification or if your identification does not match your airline tickets. It is your responsibility to obtain all necessary travel documents and government-issued photo ID for your trip.

Airport Check-In

At airport check-in, you will be asked for a government-issued photo ID such as a valid driver's license or passport. Your photo ID must match the name on your flight documents. You will be denied boarding if you do not have identification or if your identification does not match your airline tickets.

We recommend you arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to your flight departure time. You must check-in a minimum of 90 minutes prior to departure and must be at the gate a minimum of 45 minutes prior to departure. Your luggage may not be accepted for check-in or you may be denied boarding if you do not comply with these requirements. Each airline has specific check-in and boarding requirements and those requirements sometimes vary by city, so we suggest that you confirm your check-in time directly with the airline before leaving home. Make sure to allow enough time to clear security.

Airlines sometimes change the type of aircraft shortly before departure. This can result in new seat assignments. We are not able to predict or prevent this.
